*Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs once threw Grammy after-parties in his 10-bedroom Holmby Hills estate in Los Angeles, but the music mogul’s guests these days are mostly curious browsers. Last year, Combs listed the property for $61.5 million, but no buyer has stepped forward, and agents say they know why.
The house hit the market in September 2024, just a week before federal prosecutors charged Combs with racketeering, sex trafficking, and other counts that could put him behind bars for life. That cloud, paired with what one broker calls a “ridiculous” asking price, has chilled interest despite amenities that include a 35-seat theater, grotto pool, full spa, guesthouse recording studio, and a pizza oven, the New York Post reports.
Even seasoned luxury agents are steering clear. “I wish I could help, but no agents want to touch that house or be in any stories related to the case or the listing,” a local Realtor told the Daily Mail.
The rapper bought the estate for $39 million in 2014 and, according to listing records, has poured millions more into upgrades. Brokers say the mansion may remain a trophy no one wants to claim.
The federal showdown between Combs and the U.S. government kicked off early this month in a Manhattan courtroom. Prosecutors wasted no time outlining a sweeping racketeering case that portrays the 55‑year‑old as the architect of a sex‑trafficking network masked by hip‑hop stardom and high‑end business ventures.
Combs faces five felony counts: racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, sex trafficking through fraud or coercion, transportation with intent to engage in prostitution, and conspiracy to commit those acts. The father of seven has pleaded not guilty and insists the accusations are false.
“Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday… I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth,” Diddy wrote on Instagram last year.
