Diddy’s Legal Team Unveils Sentencing Video to Sway Judge
*Why Not? Hopefully it’ll help. Ahead of his sentencing hearing in a few hours, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ defense team has released a nearly 12-minute video. The video aims to portray Combs as a reformed, family-focused man who is committed to giving back.
Set to be shown in court, the montage features footage of Combs with his seven children, highlights of charitable giving, and clips of him speaking on personal growth since his arrest.

Video Focuses on Family, Charity, and Redemption
The video includes tender scenes with his kids, showing school visits and motivational talks about responsibility. It also spotlights donations, like $1 million to open a Bronx charter school in 2020 during the pandemic.
Combs narrates parts of the video, saying, “The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn.” Testimonies from loved ones describe his sobriety and growth while in custody.
Prosecutors Push Back Against “PR Stunt”
Federal prosecutors slammed the video, calling it an attempt to distract from the harm caused. They argued it overshadows the victims, especially after one accuser, “Mia,” withdrew following attacks from the defense team.
Prosecutor Christy Slavik said the defense’s public plans, like speaking gigs, show “a lack of remorse.” She pushed for over 11 years in prison, citing emotional damage to victims.

Combs Apologizes in Letter to the Judge
“I am so very sorry for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused… I lost my way.”
“This has been the hardest two years of my life, and I have no one to blame but myself.”
Combs also addressed ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, admitting her testimony made him realize he had caused harm.
Sentencing Hearing Begins With Stark Differences
The prosecution recommends 11 years. The defense argues for time served—just 14 months—pointing to Combs’ sobriety and lack of jail incidents.
Judge Arun Subramanian has not yet ruled but noted the sentencing guidelines suggest 6–7 years. He can consider both the acquitted and convicted charges.
Public Reacts to the Video Release Online
The video drew mixed responses on social media. Some saw it as genuine; others called it a manipulative PR move. The debate around Combs’ legacy is heating up.
The sentencing outcome could determine whether the hip-hop mogul ever stages a comeback—or faces years behind bars.
