*Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs‘ is maintaining his innocence in his ongoing sex crimes case and has pleaded not guilty to two new federal charges: sex trafficking and transporting someone for prostitution.
As TMZ reports, these charges were added in a new indictment, making it the third so far in the case. The allegations, tied to events from 2021 to 2024, involve someone identified only as “Victim-2.” The disgraced music producer now faces five criminal charges in total, including racketeering, and has denied all of them. His legal team says the alleged victims are former partners, with one believed to be Cassie Ventura.
Cassie first sued Combs in November 2023, accusing him of rape, abuse, and human trafficking. That lawsuit was settled just days later, but it sparked a wave of additional accusations against the music mogul. We reported earlier that Cassie is set to take the stand in Combs’ upcoming federal trial, opting to testify under her name rather than anonymously.
According to TMZ, the singer was previously referred to in court documents as “Victim 1,” and testifying openly could prove pivotal, amplifying a case already steeped in controversy. Combs faces several federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. While three other alleged victims will use pseudonyms to avoid harassment, Cassie’s identity has been public for months, largely due to a now-infamous surveillance video that surfaced last year.
The footage, originally published by CNN, shows Diddy assaulting Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway. It shows the father of seven, clad in only a towel, chasing Cassie, violently grabbing her, slamming her to the floor, and kicking her. In response to the leaked hotel video, Combs’ legal team has accused the government of orchestrating the release. However, prosecutors have denied any involvement.
The Bad Boy Records founder, who was arrested in September 2024 following raids on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami, is currently being held at MDC Brooklyn. His trial is scheduled to begin May 5.
