*Singer Lana Del Rey learned the hard way that you don;t try to defend yourself but throwing fellow female musicians under the bus.
Del Rey received some heat about her approach to songs and took to social media to address the criticism that her music glorifies abusive relationships. But in defending herself she served up harsh criticisms of a number of female artists: Doja Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé.
She wrote online:
“I’m fed up with female writers and alt singers saying that I glamorize abuse when I’m just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we are all seeing are now very prevalent emotionally abusive relationships all over the world.”
“Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f - - king, cheating, etc — can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money — or whatever I want — without being crucified or saying that I’m glamorizing abuse?”

That didn’t go over so well and she was dragged by fans who wasn’t trying to hear her side after she dissed the musical artists.
Lana del Rey’s essay or whatever the fuck she posted was absolutely pathetic. You are a white woman in the industry speaking about ‘place for women like me’, and immediately opens up about being salty about black women artists who have reached the top. Grow the fuck up

What’s really interesting about Lana Del Rey’s post is that we see how quickly some women are willing to participate in patriarchy to serve themselves.
She has been an overtly sexual artist for years. But now that she’s facing critique, it’s “Beyoncé songs about f*cking!”
