*Biden’s Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said males suffering from gender dysmorphia should be permitted to participate in women’s sports to protect them from “elected bullies.”
Cardona made the comments during an interview at Howard University about expansions to Title IX, which allows male athletes who identify as women in female sports, The Daily Caller reports.
Federally funded schools are prohibited from discriminating on the basis of gender under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. As part of a new proposal from the Biden administration, the policy would expand to include transgender students.
The president wants to prohibit schools from banning transgender male-to-female athletes from women’s sports, according to the Department of Education (DOE) website.

“The Title IX proposed rule: I want to make sure all kids can go to school free from discrimination, period,” Cardona said.
“We have elected bullies right now going after kids. Look, it’s not a black-and-white issue: It’s very difficult; it’s very nuanced — and our proposal just ensures that all students have a fair shake, ” Cardona continued.
Opponents of Biden’s proposal say males in women’s sports can negatively impact safety and fairness to females.
Social media users are trying to make sense of the looney liberal logic when it comes to males in women’s sports. Over on MSN, one commenter said Biden’s “proposal” does not guarantee “every student gets a “fair shake”.
“It does the exact opposite. This is not fair to biological females,” the person wrote.
Another critic added, “Liberals pretend to care about women’s rights but in reality don’t really care about woman at all.”
A third person responded, “when are people on both sides going to realize how disturbed these people are…vote them out…save our children”
Another critic noted, “OK, look, I realize that I am not as intelligent as the people in the Biden cabinet, BUT, pleas tell me; how do they come up with this NONSENSE?? Any elected official who doesnt agree with them is now an ELECTED BULLY??? I think I am getting a HEADACHE !!”
Cardona said during the Howard Univerity interview, “I don’t want to go too much in the weeds of where it’s going to end up. But we’re asking for input on what folks think we should be considering. Part of the flexibility is ensuring that we have input from athletic councils…[and] the NCAA, which oversees college sports. We want to listen to their input to see what they think could be done, to make sure that all students are protected and all students have access to sports.”
