*50 Cent addressed rumors about his recent comedy showcase, clarifying that comedian Luenell’s claims of being overlooked for the event were untrue.
In a video, Luenell criticized him during an interview for seemingly not hiring any female comics for his Humor & Harmony event in Shreveport, Louisiana, The Jasmine Brand reports.
“I want to say that the game is still so misogynistic because I just heard about this Comedy Festival that my dear friend 50 is having right now… and there were several comedians on the plane, but not one female comic. Not one,” she said in the video.
Luenell also acknowledged that she wouldn’t have been able to perform if asked because she’s “booked and busy.”
In response, 50 Cent, who collaborated with Luenell on “Power Book II: Ghost,” claimed he did consider booking her but found out she had a prior commitment.

50 Cent wrote, “Proof you can’t make everybody happy. Love Luenell’s work that’s why had them put her in ‘Ghost.’ We saw her big a** was booked already, so we didn’t reach out.”
He continued, “You think I didn’t want Monique, Sommore, or Amy Schumer they on FIRE WTF.”
We reported earlier that 50 Cent spent several days in Shreveport preparing for his Humor and Harmony festival, which officially introduced his G-Unity Foundation.
50’s G-Unit is taking over the Millennium Movie Studio in Shreveport, with the rapper previously announcing his commitment to further developing his film and TV ventures in the city.
Orville Hall, G-Unit’s growth adviser, said 50 Cent has been thrilled with the warm reception and support he has received from the city for his ideas.
“50 was in town yesterday. He feels like he’s home when he’s here now. People are welcoming. We’ve met with the mayor,” Hall said, KSLA reports.
“The city council has been so open armed to him. We’ve met with the Caddo administrators, and they were all so welcoming,” Hall continued. “Everybody is invested in this, everybody is happy about this, and that’s what 50 is happy about.”
In a statement to Billboard, Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux said, “We are thrilled that G-Unit Studios will plant its roots in Shreveport.”
