Popular Influencers Injured as Car Slams Into Houston Restaurant
*Food influencers Patrick Blackwood and Nina Santiago (a/k/a NinaUnrated) were filming a food review when a car crashed into their restaurant booth. The shocking moment was caught on video and later shared on their YouTube channel, Unrated EX Files. Viewers saw the glass window shatter behind them as they ate, sending debris across their table.
Blackwood was closest to the window and was covered in glass. Santiago was thrown from the booth and hit the floor. Both were shaken, injured, and later taken to the hospital for treatment.
Driver Mistakenly Rolled Into CuVee’s Culinary Creations
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the woman behind the wheel thought her car was in park. When she lifted her foot off the brake, the vehicle rolled forward and smashed into the building. CuVee’s Culinary Creations reopened after the incident but is still assessing repair costs.
The restaurant shared a statement with NBC News saying, “The chef, influencers, guests, and staff were all blessed to not be severely harmed. We appreciate the love and support.”

The crash was recorded during a video on the Unrated EX Files YouTube channel. It began like a regular food review, with the couple enjoying several dishes. But about 10 minutes in, chaos hit as the window caved in and the table was shoved forward by the force of the impact.
In the video, Santiago drops to the ground in shock, and Blackwood gets up with large pieces of glass falling from him. The vlog later cuts to clips of them receiving care in an ambulance and hospital room.
Injuries, Recovery, and a Message of Gratitude
Both influencers suffered injuries requiring stitches and staples. Blackwood had a long cut across his jaw, and Santiago showed several cuts on her face and hands. They shared updates and healing progress through photos and video clips on Instagram.
“Still here,” Blackwood said at one point. “Um, I’m OK now, heart rate’s regulated. The realization just hit…I was not expecting this bulls— right here. But um, I’m glad I’m alive.”
“This is the second accident this month,” Santiago said. “The fact that we walked away from both accidents … maybe I’m just delusional right now but I’m just like, it’s like I want to break down and cry and I just can’t.”

Returning to the Scene for Peace of Mind and Good Food
Despite their injuries, Blackwood and Santiago returned to CuVee’s Culinary Creations after the crash. Santiago said her heart was racing but she felt it was important to face the moment and begin healing.
“We came back just to make sure to have peace of mind, and also because the food is actually amazing,” Santiago said.
They posted heartfelt messages on social media, reflecting on how close they came to serious harm. Santiago used the experience to remind her followers about what truly matters in life.
