*Hulu has released the official trailer for the third season of “Reasonable Doubt,” set to premiere on September 18, with two episodes. New episodes will stream every Thursday, bringing fresh courtroom drama and personal challenges for Jax Stewart, played by Emayatzy Corinealdi.
The series follows Jax, L.A.’s top criminal defense attorney, as she takes on a high-profile case defending a former child star accused of murder.
“Her new client, an ex-child star once loved by millions, is now accused of murder, and he brings with him a whole entourage of enablers and a mess only she can untangle,” the synopsis reveals. Jax faces mounting pressure from an ambitious new colleague and coworkers doubting her value, while the trial’s complexity tests her both professionally and personally.
Adding intrigue to the season, Lori Harvey joins as a recurring guest star, playing Chelsea, described as “an unpredictable force with a troubled past that resurfaces to challenge Jax in unexpected ways.” This role marks Harvey’s second acting gig, following her debut in “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” on Peacock in 2024.

The ensemble cast includes McKinley Freeman as Lewis, Joseph Sikora as Bill, Tim Jo as Daniel, and Angela Grovey as Krystal. Notable guest stars like Morris Chestnut as Corey, Rumer Willis as Wendy, and others, including Kyle Bary, April Parker Jones, and Pauletta Washington, enrich the season’s dynamic narrative.
Created by Raamla Mohamed, “Reasonable Doubt” is executive produced by Mohamed, Kerry Washington, Pilar Savone, Larry Wilmore, Anton Cropper, and Lena Cordina. The series, part of Onyx Collective, is produced by 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios.
“As America gathers to watch his trial, Jax must contend with an ambitious new colleague and coworkers questioning her worth,” the synopsis notes, hinting at the intense stakes awaiting viewers.
