*Lori Harvey is stepping into the spotlight with a new acting role in the Onyx Collective’s legal drama “Reasonable Doubt.”
As Variety reports, she will appear as a recurring guest star in the show’s third season, portraying Chelsea, a dynamic character with a complicated past that shakes up the life of lead character Jax, played by Emayatzy Corinealdi. This marks Harvey’s second venture into acting, following her debut in the 2024 Peacock miniseries “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.”
In “Reasonable Doubt,” Harvey’s character Chelsea is described as “an unpredictable force with a troubled past that resurfaces to challenge Jax in unexpected ways.” The series follows Jax, a skilled attorney navigating high-stakes cases and personal turmoil. Season 3 sees Jax defending a former child star entangled in a scandal, while her own career faces threats from a charming colleague. The show, created by Raamla Mohamed, premieres on Hulu with two episodes on September 18, with weekly releases thereafter.
The third season of “Reasonable Doubt” boasts a talented ensemble, including McKinley Freeman, Tim Jo, Angela Grovey, and Joseph Sikora, with additional guest stars such as Morris Chestnut and Rumer Willis.
Harvey’s acting journey began with “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist,” a 2024 crime drama centered on a heist during Muhammad Ali’s 1970 boxing comeback. During an interview on Today With Hoda & Jenna, Harvey shared a lighthearted story about keeping her role a secret from her stepfather, Steve Harvey.

“My dad actually didn’t find out until I showed up at the house in Atlanta to film. He was like, ‘What are you doing home?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I’m acting.’ [He said] ‘Acting in what?’ And I was like ‘A real TV show.’ So he was so shocked,” she recounted.
Steve responded with enthusiasm, saying, “Ok, this is the real deal, you got to focus, this is big.”
Beyond acting, Harvey is a successful entrepreneur, leading Lori Harvey Enterprises, which includes her skincare line SKN and swimwear brand Yevrah Swim.
