Will Smith Shows Up At Coachella with Surprise Performance During J Balvin’s Set | WATCH

*Reggaeton sensation J Balvin basically freaked out his Coachella crowd in awe when he brought out Will Smith on Sunday (04-14-24). Smith joined the Colombian singer on stage for a rendition of his iconic 1997 track, “Men In Black,” famously associated with the movie of the same name.

The surprise cameo seamlessly fit into Balvin’s otherworldly-themed performance, complete with a colossal alien head and a mock UFO.

Dressed in the signature black suit and sunglasses of his “Men in Black” character, Smith made a dramatic entrance onto the stage from a rising platform, exclaiming, “Coachella!”

The man in black then delivered the rap while surrounded by backing dancers clad in alien attire and black suits, according to The Independent.

As the song concluded, Balvin was whisked off-stage by the suit-clad dancers, while Smith brandished a “Neuralyzer,” the iconic memory-wiping device from the film franchise.

To cap off the performance screens around the stage displayed the message “Dance in your Darkest Moments.”

This electrifying moment came shortly after Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, shared a series of photos on Instagram showcasing their enjoyment of the festival alongside their daughter, Willow, who performed at Coachella in 2023.

The caption, “A great show and old friends,” seemed to allude to a final snapshot featuring Pinkett Smith embracing popstar Justin Bieber while Smith beamed in the background.

As clips of the unexpected collaboration circulated online, fans expressed their astonishment. “What’s happening at Coachella?” one bewildered fan wrote.

“Are we living in a simulation?” pondered another.

“Brought out the Fresh Prince for real?” remarked a third, referring to another iconic Smith character.

This appearance marked a rare public outing for Smith, who has maintained a relatively low profile since his headline-making incident at the 2022 Oscars when he slapped Chris Rock. Nonetheless, Smith’s portrayal of Richard Williams in “King Richard” earned him the Best Actor award at the ceremony. Fans can anticipate Smith’s return to the silver screen in the upcoming “Bad Boys 4.”

Overall, Coachella’s performances were full of surprise guests this weekend, including Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Shakira, Paris Hilton, and Kesha, the latter of whom changed the lyrics to her hit song “Tik Tok” to say “F*** P. Diddy” during her performance with Reneé Rapp, reports The Desert Sun.
