*Tia Mowry and Jackée Harry took to social media to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved sitcom “Sister, Sister.”

Tia starred on the show with her real-life twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley. Together, they portrayed Tia Landry and Tamera Campbell. In the series, the “twins separated at birth who learn of each other’s existence and come together as teenagers. Ray Campbell, Tamera’s adopted father, is very different from Tia’s adopted mother, Lisa Landry, but the twins don’t want to be separated, so Ray and Lisa end up living together,” per IMDB.com.

“Today is the 30th anniversary of Sister, Sister and I’m so grateful for this show and the experiences it has given me,” she captioned the image.

“It was the first time I really believed in myself and my dreams. I remember being on a press tour in New York when the show premiered, feeling like all my hard work and prayers had paid off,” Tia continued. “My sister and I faced rejection when our show wasn’t initially picked up, but we didn’t give up. We prayed and were later told the show would be a mid-season replacement. A Mid-season replacement is a show that replaces a show that didn’t do well in the Fall. We were back up.”

The actress continued, “Whenever I feel like I get to a place where I want to quit, I go back to that moment and remember that dreams do come true and to keep going and keep believing.”

Harry also shared a post reflecting on her “Sister, Sister” experience. In a post on X (formally Twitter), she wrote, “30 years since our little show premiered! We didn’t predict this longevity or success, but it should come as no surprise. When you put love, friendship, identity & heritage at the core of your work – it turns into something everyone can relate to.”

In the comments, one person wrote, “Still holds up to this very day! I remember watching the premiere at my Aunt Faith’s house…”

Another X user wrote, “We’re still so grateful for this show and all the comfort and laughs y’all brought us for years and years.”
