*Oprah Winfrey celebrated her 70th birthday on Monday with a run on the beach, and she shared the moment in a video on her official Instagram page.
“Celebrating 70 with a run on the beach. #healthisthebestgift,” she captioned the post. “Thank you for all the birthday love.”
On Monday, Winfrey’s bestie, Gayle King, posted a video on X/Twitter of Winfrey with King’s grandson during a recent holiday getaway.
“While Favorite grandson Luca is too young to understand how special this moment was during Christmas vacation, it’s not lost on me,” King captioned the post. She also revealed how Oprah wanted to celebrate her big day.
Kign said, “When asked how she wanted to spend her birthday, she said, ‘No gifts, no parties, no surprises!’ Her preference was to sit by the fire with a good book and savor the fragrance of her life! Happy birthday Oprah!!”

Last month, the media mogul told PEOPLE she has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
“I will never be done until my last breath is done,” Winfrey said.
Winfrey admits her legacy remains unfinished despite impacting countless lives over the decades.
“I now know that what Maya Angelou told me when I came back from opening my school in South Africa and I was like, ‘Oh, Maya, this school is going to be my greatest legacy, these girls.’ And she said, ‘You have no idea what your legacy’s going to be… because your legacy is never one thing. Your legacy is every life you’ve touched'”, Winfrey shared with People.
“She went on to say, it’s everybody who ever watched a show and decided because of something you said, I’m going to go back to school. I’m going to leave my abusive husband. I’m going to stop hitting my child. I’m going to get a better bra,” she continued. “So when I think about the millions of people who heard something that opened up the aperture of hope, of yearning, of consciousness, just even a little bit, that’s a life I touched. And you can’t get better than that.”
