LA Leaders Urge Arrest in Attack/Stabbing of Black Teen – Latino Gang Blamed – Racism Rally Planned | WATCH-Attack

*A coalition of Los Angeles civil rights leaders is urging Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell to introduce a reward motion to apprehend the Latino gang members involved in the brutal hate crime assault of a 16-year-old African American teen. The victim endured racial and homophobic slurs during the unprovoked attack.

Frankie, the mother of the teen, declared on her GoFundMe page: “I’m reaching out to the community for any support for my son was brutally beaten and stabbed multiple times, resulting in a punctured lung, as well as a host of other injuries-this took place at Dockweiler Beach on February 10th-any, and all donations no matter the amount is greatly appreciated-our goal is to move as soon as possible out of fear of retaliation being that we have fully cooperated with law enforcement. Thank every one of you who donated or simply took the time out to give attention.”

“We will not tolerate racism and hate in our city. Join us at the upcoming march and rally, LA vs Hate on Saturday, March 9 at 10:00 am at Dockweiler Beach,” stated Najee Ali of Project Islamic Hope.

“The vicious beating of this young African American teen captured on video that has now gone viral was one of the most brutal beatings I have ever witnessed. To see him kicked and stomped repeatedly in the face was horrific,” said Cedric Farmer, Senior Organizer at LAM.

The Los Angeles Metropolitan Church (LAM) will continue to stand against racism and intolerance, regardless of its origin. “No youth deserves to be victimized because of their race,” stated Farmer.

Moe Adwadallah, President of the Muslim Democratic Club of Southern California, emphasized the support for the African American mother and her son, residents of Hawthorne, a city he proudly calls home. “This family, along with our community members, has our full support, and we won’t rest until justice is served,” stated Adwadallah.
