*Kirk Franklin’s son Kerrion claims he was excluded from the family’s holiday photo.
The gospel singer shared a photo of his wife, kids, son-in-law, and grandson on Instagram last Wednesday. Franklin captioned the photo, “Perfect father? No. Perfect husband? No. Perfect Christian? GOD NO. This picture is perfect because it’s gone through a process…. Filters, coloring, all the things to make it perceivable that’s how we always look. There are no perfect families, so this holiday season take that pressure off of yourself and love the flaws, failures and blemishes of your human family. I love mine, and I thank God that they love me through my process….perfectly. Merry Christmas.”
Kerrion, 35, is noticeably absent from the family festivities, and he called out his father in a since-deleted post on his Instagram story.
“I’m never invited to these pics. Let him enjoy his fantasy,” Kerrion wrote, Love B. Scott reports.
Kerrion and Franklin’s relationship has reportedly been strained for years.

Franklin’s fans became aware of their strained relationship when audio leaked of Kerrion accusing his famous father of molesting him. In a separate audio leak, fans heard Franklin cursing out his son.
We previously reported that Franklin said his son’s decision to leak their messy phone conversation in 2021 led to the “worst two years of my life.”
“It traumatizes me to this day. It is very difficult, and my wife [Tammy] will tell you,” Franklin told Page Six. “That tape was a reflection of years of what our family dynamic has been going through, just so you know. You don’t have that type of anger out there without there being a history of something.”
The gospel artist’s estranged 35-year-old son Kerrion recorded the private phone call between them in March of 2021 and posted it on Instagram. The exchange included Franklin reprimanding his son and threatening to “put my foot in your ass” and “break your neck.”
Franklin publicly apologized to his fans, saying, “I’m not perfect.”
