KFC Launches New ‘Chizza’ Chicken-Pizza

*KFC has rolled out its version of a pizza entree called the “CHIZZA.”

According to a news release, the Chizza is two fried chicken filets topped with zesty marinara sauce, melty mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni. The new limited-time pizza is available at KFC’s nationwide beginning Monday, Feb. 26. 

You can enjoy the Chizza on its own or get the combo meal, which includes Secret Recipe Fries and a medium drink. Also returning to KFC restaurants nationwide temporarily is Blackberry Lemonade.

Per the release: “KFC customers can use the KFC app to order their Chizza ahead of time and skip the line to pick it up on KFC’s dedicated Quick Pick-Up shelf and sign up for KFC Rewards to start earning rewards on digital orders and unlocking FREE KFC.”

“Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better—the Chizza,” Nick Chavez, CMO KFC U.S, said in the press release. “The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world—try it while you can!”

The online reaction to the Chizza is mixed, with one person writing, “This is like KFC told a group of elementary school kids to come up with a new meal item.”
