*John Boyega is taking a path already traveled by Denzel Washington, by signing on for a prequel to the hit 2010 film “The Book of Eli.”

According to Ice CreamConvos, the prequel will come to the small screen. Boyega will play a younger version of the title character Eli, a lone wanderer in a desolate, dystopian future. Washington portrayed an older version of Eli in the film.
