*Comedian Jess Hilarious has officially joined The Breakfast Club as the newest co-host of the popular NYC-based radio show, iHeart radio announced on Jan. 29.
She joins current longtime hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy on the daily morning program. The announcement comes weeks after Jess confirmed she was joining the show in December, but SandaRose.com later reported she was out after a no-call/no-show on her first day earlier this month.
Envy and Charlamagne also suggested they were still looking for a third co-host to replace Angela Yee, whose last broadcast was on December 2, 2022. On January 10, Envy and Charlamagne spoke about their search for a third co-host.
“You know what I’m so confused by? We spent all last year rotating guest co-hosts, and I thought we were rotating guest co-hosts before we let God decide who’s supposed to be in here,” DJ Envy explained during the ‘Rumor Report’ segment. “Now, it’s 2024 — do we just say, ‘F-it, there’s not going to be another co-host?’”
Charlamagne added, “No, it was never supposed to be a couple of months,” he said. “…I said it’s gon’ take at least a year… Angela Yee, I’ve always said, is irreplaceable. So the person coming here is not replacing someone — if there’s somebody coming here. That’s my whole point of having this conversation. What the hell happened?”

Billboard reports that Jess Hilarious will officially begin as the show’s third co-host next week on Feb. 5.
“I’m very excited to have Jess Hilarious join The Breakfast Club. She is a force in her own right, an actress, comedian, podcaster and now, the co-host of The Breakfast Club,” said Thea Mitchem, iHeartMedia executive vice president of programming in a press release, Billboard reports.
“Jess was the standout choice to join Charlamagne and DJ Envy to build upon The Breakfast Club’s legacy of entertaining, informing, and enlightening the community,” the statement continued.
Jess added, “I’m looking forward to joining forces with one of the largest media platforms. I’m confident that taking the third seat at The Breakfast Club will show people that Jess Hilarious is not just comedy, but culture.”
