*Flavor Flav, the legendary rapper and public figure best known for his hype-man role in the iconic hip-hop group Public Enemy, recently expressed disappointment after a troubling incident at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.

The 65-year-old artist revealed how he was unexpectedly booted from the Backstreet Boys’ dressing room, leaving him feeling “weird” and “broken” in spirit.

Reflecting on the strange experience, Flavor Flav took to social media, recounting the scenario in a now-deleted tweet, where he described being invited to the high-profile event. He was excited to reunite with the Backstreet Boys, but his evening turned unexpectedly.

“I feel weird,,, I was invited to the Rockefeller Tree Lighting tonite and I was escorted to see my boys,,, THE BACKSTREET BOYS,,, and we were backstage in their dressing room,” he shared. He then detailed how security informed him that @NBC did not want him in that area and that he needed to leave, TMZ reported.

Adding to his frustration, Flav noted that as he was being told to exit, an NBC social media team member approached him “to capture social content.” This incongruity left him questioning his treatment during what should have been a joyous occasion.

An Emotional Response
“What did I ever do to NBC or anyone,” Flav lamented. “All I ever do is try to spread joy and love,,, and I think I did that for NBC at the Olympics.” His subsequent post indicated a sense of sadness about the situation, asserting that he deleted the tweet but felt his “spirit is broken.”

Fans and users on social media quickly responded, with some suggesting the Backstreet Boys should have stepped in to support Flav.

One supporter remarked, “They sure did,” highlighting a sense of unity among artists when one faces adversity.

Flavor Flav’s Resilience
Despite the unfortunate incident, Flavor Flav did not let the situation overshadow the spirit of the holiday season. Hours later, he shared a celebratory video of himself in front of the spectacular 74-foot-tall Norway spruce, demonstrating his ability to rise above the negativity. His cheerful demeanor reminded fans that joy can be found even in the most unexpected circumstances.
