*Rosa Osman, the TikToker who went viral late last year after claiming a Black man cold-clocked her in the face with a brick, has been charged for making up the entire story.
We reported previously that in a video shared online, and posted on Instagram by the shade room, Osman (also known as Rho Bashe) can be heard saying, “Y’all, this man just hit me in my face with a brick and all these Black men just watched. This man…grabbed a rock and hit me in my face because I wouldn’t give him my number.”
The video shows Osman yelling at the crowd of men and saying, “I want you to be a man and do something. You gonna let a man hit me in my face?”
Osman is seen in a follow-up video wearing a hospital gown and her face swollen. She claims the crowd watched a brick hit her and let the man who assaulted her flee in a car. “How is this OK?” she asked.
Her video garnered millions of views on social media, and she allegedly raised over $40k on GoFundMe by lying to the internet. She became known as the viral ‘Brick lady.’

Welp, according to Click2Houston, police have charged Osman, 33, with felony theft by deception.

When she first reported the accident, she told police she believed it was her Uber driver who attacked her, but when she was questioned again, she accused a man named Olan Douglas. In the charging documents, police noted that Osman’s story changed multiple times and when she was asked about the conflicting details she would become irritated and hang up.
Osman’s friend that was present at the attack told police that the women had gotten into a car with men that she assumed Osman knew. The friend was in the front and Osman got in the backseat. The friend said she heard Osman say the man hit her, but she never heard an argument. When they got out of the car, Osman began to record and claim to be hit with a brick, but the friend told police she never believed that story.
During their investigation, police viewed the security cameras at the Houston club where Osman claims the assault occurred. In the videos, Douglas reportedly hit Osman in the face with a water bottle before leaving the scene with another man.
According to The Shade Room, Osman is now a wanted woman by police, and Harris County D.A.’s office is requesting a $50k bail for her.
A Houston prosecutor says this is not the first time Osman has made false claims of assault.
