*Ja’Niece McCullough, the daughter of late comedy great Bernie Mac, is speaking out about the remarks Katt Williams made about her father during his interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast.
During the episode, Williams claimed that Steve Harvey “hated” Bernie Mac and tried to steal Bernie’s role in the film “Oceans 11.”
Veteran radio host Ed Lover co-signed Katt’s remarks during the Jan. 5 episode of his C’Mon Son! podcast.
“The stuff that Katt Williams said about Steve Harvey calling to try to get Bernie’s role on Oceans 11, and that kind of stuff? Bernie told me out of his own mouth,” Ed Lover said. “I believe Bernie Mac when he said Steve Harvey hated on him.”
In a video shared on social media, McCullough said… “I don’t know Katt Williams; [I] never met him. That’s one person I never did get to meet when my dad was alive, but from everything I’ve ever heard my dad, you know, say, he’s always seemed like a stand-up dude.”
McCullough also called Katt’s conversation on Club Shay Shay “genuine.”
“There are some people who have given my dad his flowers now that he’s dead that I’m looking at like, ‘Now, you know doggone well you wasn’t doing that when he was alive.’ And that’s not just famous people, just people all across the board,” she added.
“I just really appreciate what I believe [is] genuine love and respect that Katt Williams showed my father,” McCollough continued.
