Oop! Ayo Edibiri Apologized to Jennifer Lopez After Calling Singer a ‘Scam’ | WATCH

*Actress Ayo Edibiri tearfully apologized to Jennifer Lopez after an old interview surfaced in which the Emmy winner slammed JLo’s talent.

In case you missed it, in the February 2020 clip, Edebiri said Lopez’s entire career is “one long scam” and noted that the actress/singer isn’t singing on many of her hit tracks.

Ayo called Lopez “a little thief.”

“I think she thinks that she’s still good, even though she’s not singing for most of these songs,” Ayo said on the podcast. A lot of the write-ups of the songs will be like, ‘J.Lo didn’t have time to make it to the studio.’ Like, ‘J.Lo was busy.’ Doing what? Not singing, obviously.”

R&B singer Ashanti previously confirmed that during her days as a demo singer, her vocals were passed off as Lopez’s in remixed tracks “I’m Real” and “Ain’t it Funny.”

Lopez and Ayo filmed the Feb. 3 episode of “Saturday Night Live” together, where Edebiri hosted, and Lopez was the musical guest. In an interview with Variety, Lopez said “The Bear” star apologized to her during the taping.

“She came to my dressing room and apologized with tears in her eyes, saying how terrible it was that she had said those things,” Lopez said.

“She felt really badly and loved my performance because we had just done my soundcheck and she actually got to hear me perform. She was just like, ‘I’m so f–king sorry, it was so awful of me,’ ” she added.
