*The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Antonio Pierce to be their next head coach, the team officially announced on Friday.
If you haven’t been paying attention to the Raiders, Pierce, 45, became Las Vegas’ interim coach on Halloween night after Josh McDaniels was fired.
At that point, a miracle, it seems started happening. The Raiders went 5-4 under his watch and the players bought into his leadership immediately.
Just a reminder of how good it got with Pierce at the helm last season. The Raiders’ wins included a 30-6 win over the New York Giants in his first game at the helm, a historic 63-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and a 20-14 win over the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.
