*If you missed it, on “Tamron Hall,” Oscar-winning actress Angela Bassett joins the show to discuss her hit show “9-1-1” and her new Netflix film “Damsel.” Bassett also teases her potential return to Broadway. Actor Carl Anthony Payne II, from the hit ‘90s sitcom“Martin,” joins “Tamron Hall” for his first-ever talk show appearance and reflects on his reunion with his former castmates at the Emmy Awards. Also, Eyewitness News reporter Sandy Kenyon opens up about his sobriety journey following the announcement that he will step away from his role at WABC for a broader ABC Stations consulting role this year.

Angela Bassett on filming underwater scenes for her hit show “9-1-1”:
“I’ve been in water before, in ‘Wakanda.’ This one (on “9-1-1”), this is rising water. Now I know it may be six minutes on camera, but it takes a good 12-14 hours a day.” Tamron asks if her experience filming these scenes was as challenging as filming similar scenes in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Basset answers, “It was, they started low, then they go high, almost drowned, they wanted me to go under the water – I draw the line!”

Angela Bassett teases her potential return to Broadway:
“Theater is my first love. On the stage you go out, it’s you, the audience, every audience, every night, it’s different. There’s no cut and fixing it, it’s there in the moment, so I love it. [I’m] reading a lot of things now, you know, young, new playwrights, established playwrights, but maybe a new voice, that would be intriguing.”

Carl Anthony Payne II on reuniting with his “Martin” castmates at the Emmy Awards:
“I was looking for my check. Yeah, I thought we was about to go to work again. It feels great because once we did the reunion, that was the first time that we were all in the same place in the same space at the same time in over 30 years. That was incredible because you have all these memories and all these feelings and everything starts rushing back in. We picked up like we never left.”

Sandy Kenyon discusses his sobriety journey for the first time publicly:
“I have to tell this audience and the audience at home that when I told you that you created such a safe space for me to talk about it personally, one on one, that I always knew that if I ever talked about it on TV, which I haven’t until today, you would be the one. That’s the truth. I turned 32 years clean and sober, free of drugs and alcohol on March 1. It’s been a sweet 19 years at Eyewitness News and sweet marriage because both were done in sobriety”

“Tamron Hall” is distributed in national syndication by Disney Entertainment. Broadcast from New York City, the show is executive produced by Hall and Quiana Burns. The show broadcasts from New York City and features a dynamic mix of live and taped shows.
