*Usher pulled an April Fools joke Saturday night during his set at the Dreamville Fest, telling fans that Beyoncé would be his surprise guest and join him onstage.
“You know, I don’t know if you guys listened to some of the interviews that I did before we decided to do this show, but as promised I said I would have a special surprise for you tonight, ladies and gentlemen,” he told the crowd, Insider reports.
“You guys wanna know what that surprise is? Ladies and gentlemen, without further adieu, put your hands together for the one, the only, Beyoncé.”
He then motioned for the singer on the side of the stage to join him but she appeared to be hesitant.
Usher starts to walk backstage before returning to the mic. That’s when he tells the crowd it was an “April Fools” joke. Watch the hilarious moment via the Instagram clip below

“I would’ve made it worse and had the band play the intro to Crazy In Love,” an Usher fan added.
As Insider reports, one fan commented, “That has got to be worlds best April Fools,” wrote one person. Another person wrote, “That’s such a sick prank, I love it.”
