Tia Mowry and her daughter Cairo, 4, did an adorable video promoting “Kiya & The Kimoja Heroes.” The mother and daughter duo danced out sporting outfits accented with headbands and tutus emulating the show’s main character that airs on Disney Junior/Disney+. The animated show is the concept of Robert Vargas, adapted from characters created by South Africans Marc Dey and Kelly Dillon. According to Hasbro‘s press release, the original action-adventure animated series follows Kiya, a seven-year-old African girl whose passions in life are dancing and martial arts, which also become her superpowers. “We are loving Kiya & The Kimoja Heroes here at our house. Representation is so important, and my daughter Cairo loves seeing a main character she can relate to. She keeps asking, ‘Is it Kiya time?’ I love that each episode focuses on positive messages that empower young girls to be whoever they want to be,” Tia exclusively tells EURweb.com.
