*Theresa Randle, best known for her role in the Bad Boys films, had rumors flying after she appeared in a video taken on LA’s Skid Row, and was using a walker to get around.

The image went viral and sparked talk of the actress falling on hard times. It didn’t help that hours earlier, Tasha Smith was announced as Randle’s replacement in the forthcoming “Bad Boys 4” film.

But things are not as they appeared in the viral video. As online chatter about Randle possibly struggling with substance abuse or falling ill increased, a post shared by The Neighborhood Talk tried to squash the rumors with facts. Randle was indeed on Skid Row using a walker, but she was there in service to the unhoused community, after having broken her femur bone.

“For the thousandth time she was not in a wheelchair,” the person who recorded the video wrote on Instagram. “She was on a walker due to a broken femur, and she was downtown helping out the Skid Row community. I am the young lady you hear her in the background talking with as well as my nephew.

The person added: “People are so rude and always pass judgment not even knowing the situation.”

No word on the reason behind Randle’s replacement by Smith in the new “Bad Boy” film. Variety reports that Smith will play the role of Theresa, the devoted wife to Martin Lawrence’s character, Marcus Burnett. Randle had played Theresa for the first three films in the franchise.

The reason for Tasha Smith replacing Theresa Randle in Bad Boys 4 remains unclear.
