*Attorney Antonio Moore looks at the impact sports betting will have on American communities as it picks up over the next decade.
Moore looks back at the Supreme Court decision that paved the way in 2018. And puts forth an opening salvo that due to the league’s ties with sports betting it may be time to stop supporting sports altogether.
Moore also asks questions about gambling sponsorships in the Black community from Charles Barkley by Fan Duels to Joe Budden with Prize Picks.
Addiction is a rising problem across the country.
In a recent Men’s Health article, Moore cites in his video:
Some guys are at a higher risk than others. According to one study, Black men are more likely to develop a gambling addiction than white men. Guys who are single and under 30 are also at a higher risk (though Men’s Health discovered that a significant number of married men think they may currently have a sports-betting addiction), as well as anyone with a history of substance abuse or a mental-health disorder, such as depression.
