*Sherri Shepherd admits she spies on her teenage special needs son and his girlfriend via a hidden camera in the family home.
“The girl came over to our house, and I remember calling Garcelle Beauvais, and I was like ‘Oh my God, the girl’s coming over to the house, and all he wants, they want to kiss,’” said Shepherd about her son, 18-year-old son Jeffrey Charles Tarpley Jr., on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live.”
As SandraRose.com reports, Jeffrey “was born prematurely with medical complications and is developmentally delayed,” the outlet writes. Shepherd hid “cameras” in the family room to keep an eye on him when his girlfriend visits.
“I put a camera in the family room,” she told Cohen, “and so I’m downstairs in the basement, and I’m looking at this thing and they’re watching TV.”
When Shepherd heard her son telling the girl to come up to his room, she went into panic mode.
“So I ran up before them. And I said, ‘Jeffrey, I gotta get the laundry.’ And I ran up ’cause I had a camera, and it literally was like ‘Mission Impossible,’” Shepherd explained.
“I tore up the box and I’m trying to read how you put the camera on Wi-Fi, and I can hear them talking and they’re coming upstairs, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God,’ I’m gonna pee on myself,” she said.
When Cohen asked, “… why are you torturing yourself?” Shepherd replied, “Because you know what, Andy? Because I got a boy.”
In other words, Shepherd does not want to pay child support for her teen son’s “accidental” baby.
During the COVID quarantine in 2020, she took to Instagram to vent about having to be home with Jeffrey 24/7.
“I’m sorry, I just, I just found out that the Los Angeles Unified School District is pushing school back to May 1st,” she said in the clip.
“Jeffrey is going to be here for the rest of March, and he’s going to be doing online schooling for all of April. He’s going to be doing online schooling for all of May. We’re gonna be together 24/7 until the 1st of May,” Shepherd continued.
“Jeffrey, you’re gonna be here until the 1st of May with me. I gotta cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for you for the next two months.”
