*Russell Simmons is “deeply sorry” for sparring with his daughters, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee after they called him out on Father’s Day for being abusive.

Simmons had a strong reaction when Ming Lee, 23, posted a photo of her mother Kimora for the holiday instead of her famous father. As Page Six reports, he responded with cryptic messages on social media, posting a meme that read “Stop telling fathers they should have fought harder to see their children & start asking mothers why he had to fight at all.”

A separate image said, “The father you have is the perfect father for the evolution of your soul and the lessons that you needed to learn in this lifetime.”

Ming’s sister Aoki Lee, 20, clapped back and claimed their father has “been awful to [her] for years and that’s just the truth.” She also shared private texts between them and suggested in an Instagram Story that Simmons may be mentally ill, People reports.

“Some of us do think he’s mentally ill or experiencing something like dementia,” she wrote. “He really acts like he hates and does not know his children frequently.”

Kimora also took to social media to share details about the family tension.

“I’m so sorry to have to do this,” the former model wrote, People reports. “But this man has been threatening my kids’ lives. I’m hearing so much more now. We won’t be bullied threatened or afraid.”

“Leave my kids alone,” Kimora continued. “This narrative of attacking the only caregiver, the only parent in the home with the kids, the mom, AND the kids for one’s own shortcomings and embarrassments is dead. Dead. Dead.”

Simmons was also accused by his ex-wife of being abusive to the women in his life.

“The same abusive ish,” Kimora wrote. “This is how you manouver [sic] with the women all around you. Your threats and lies and intimidation manouvers [sic] and tactics are sad. Stop it please. Your own flesh and blood? Enough is enough.”

The Def Jam Recordings co-founder responded to the accusations in a lengthy message on Instagram Monday to Ming and Aoki.

“God is testing you a little bit, it’s ok, be strong. . . they are called growing pains,” the message began.

“As you know, we grow through adversity and struggle . . . you read my books and heard me preach your whole childhood,” he continued.

“Reach back to old lessons and remember to remember ‘smile and breathe,'” Simmons added. “‘smile and breathe’ . . . you are the watchers of this world . . . so let go . . . be at ease . . . God is driving and he is working on you.”

Simmons added, “DEEPLY sorry for being frustrated and yelling . . .but know this . . . there are no conditions . . . for sure i love you guys more than i love myself.”

Meanwhile, as Page Six reports, rapper Fat Joe noted on social media … “This ain’t none of our business.”
