*Hey y’all! It’s EUR’s Social Heat – The Sunday, July 02 edition. Unfortunately, R. Kelly’s got more bad news to deal with. The imprisoned R&B singer is seeing more of his money going out of his coffers to others. And it’s of his own making. Reports say he has lost more than $500k in royalties because the record label he’s signed to, Universal, has been ordered by the court to turn the royalties over in disbursements to his alleged victims. Here’s the deal: In court documents obtained by Hip HopDX, a third-party citation was issued by the District of Illinois in May giving Kelly and the record label until June 21 to answer interrogatories. That didn’t happen, so R-ruh is gonna have to give it up. The court believes that Kelly’s label is in “possession” of property that can be used to pay down the debt that he owes his victims. So far, Kelly’s victims have allegedly only received about $27,000. R. Kelly is 20 years in prison for child sex crimes he committed against the victims involved.
Well now, this is innerestin’. Robin S., who’s known far and wide for her famous 1993 House music hit “Show Me Love” is showing the most love to Chris Brown and not Beyoncé after both those artists showed her love by sampling the still hot, hot, hot track. Here’s the back story. This past week TMZ caught up to Robin in LA and asked whether or not she has heard from Beyoncé since she sampled “Show Me Love” for her ‘Renaissance’ album’s hit song “Break My Soul.” Robin replied, “Well […] you never give up hope.” The reporter then asked Robin out of all the people who sampled her classic 1993 song, whose track absolutely does it for her the best? Robin said, “Gosh, out of all the people who sampled my song … umm … I think I like Chris Brown. I’m a big fan of Chris Brown.” Lastly, Robin is then asked who is the Queen of Pop right now. Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, or Rihanna? Robin quipped, “Me!” Alrighty then!
Good Lord! Imagine if this happened to your child. Or to YOU! What we’re talking about is a 6-year-old boy in Mexico who plummeted 40 feet from an amusement park zipline after his harness broke! His family is now filing a lawsuit. The Mexican family was at the Parque Foundation’s Amazonian Expedition when their baby boy, Cesar, had his accident. A video of the incident was taken and shows the child riding the zipline before it comes to a stop in the middle of the attraction. The harness is then seen snapping, causing the child to fall into the water pit below. The family said they are blaming the tragedy on poor training of the park’s staff members, as they did not prepare the attraction correctly, nor properly handled the situation as it was happening, and the aftermath following. The family also said that a tourist nearby the pool, where the child fell, jumped in right after him to save the 6-year-old. However, he noted that the child is still “afraid” and “psychologically damaged.” Following the accident, local law enforcement officials said that the zipline is an attraction within the Parque Amazonia that is operated by an individual and it has since been suspended, along with several other attractions at the amusement park. Additionally, a government investigation into the incident remains underway.
What da hell kind of mother is this? Well, this one is behind bars after allegedly shooting her teenage son during an argument over a video game console. Fox Atlanta is reporting that police responded to a call around 10:20pm and found a 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A suspect was immediately apprehended and it was the teen’s mother, 31-year-old Jaquana Butler. A preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting happened while the mother and son argued over a video game console. The situation escalated to the point where the 17-year-old was shot multiple times. Sheesh! Jaquana Butler is currently being held at the Fulton County Jail, facing several charges from aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and cruelty to children. The son survived the shooting, bet there’s no word on his condition.
