*Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin had to be resuscitated twice after going into cardiac arrest Monday night during the game against the Bengals.

Footage of the shocking moment went viral but now fellow players are urging fans not to share video of the moment.

As EUR reported previously via CNN, Hamlin collapsed on the field in the first quarter. He suffered an injury from an open field tackle of Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins.

Hamlin was administered CPR and was driven from the stadium in an ambulance to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The game was suspended at 5:58 of the first quarter.

“Please don’t share the video of the Damar Hamlin play. Share this because we are all Praying for him and his family,” ESPN football analyst and former NFL star Robert Griffin III wrote on Twitter.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders tweeted, “PLEASE STOP SHARING THE VIDEO OF MY BROTHER PLEASE,” with a prayer emoji.

Hamlin’s uncle Dorrian Glenn told CNN Tuesday night that the 24-year-old remains sedated in the hospital.

“His heart had went out so they had to resuscitate him twice,” Glenn told CNN, PEOPLE reports. “They resuscitated him on the field before they brought him to the hospital and then they resuscitated him a second time when they got him to the hospital.”

Glenn added, “They sedated him just to give a better chance for him to just continue to heal better. We are just taking it day by day. It seems like he’s trending upwards in a positive way.”

Glenn was watching the game at home when the incident happened.

“I’m not a crier, but I’ve never cried so hard in my life. Just to know, like, my nephew basically died on the field and they brought him back to life,” he said. “It’s just heartbreaking. It was a gut punch.”

The NFL said in a statement that it “continues to be in regular contact with the medical team caring for Damar Hamlin, and also the Bills and Bengals organizations and the NFL Players Association.”
