*Kimora Lee Simmons shared photos on Instagram of her family trip to Japan with her five kids.
“Ohayo gozaimasu ????????????????????????????,” she captioned the images, which is the formal Japanese greeting for “Good morning.”
Simmons’ mother is of Korean and Japanese descent, and her father is African American, People reports. The former model shares daughters Aoki, 20, and Ming, 23, with ex Russell Simmons. She is also mom to son Kenzo, 14, whom she shares with ex Djimon Hounsou. The former model also has an 8-year-old son, Wolfe, with ex Tim Leissner, and son Gary, whom she adopted when he was 10 years old.
“I’m a single mom of five kids and I know how hard it can be and I don’t want to start crying, but it’s Mother’s Day, I know how that feels like to raise your kids and to get up every day and only care about them,” Simmons told People in May.
“And it doesn’t matter, if you’re rich and famous or you’re this thing or this singer, that singer, at the end of the day, you’re a mom or you’re a cousin, you’re an auntie, you’re a family member, you’re a community person, a caregiver, you’re just there trying to make everything come together,” she added.

The reality star took her friends, including sister Khloe Kardashian and Simmons, to Las Vegas to see Usher’s residency show and documented the moment on her Instagram Stories when a bare-chested Usher approached Lee Simmons to serenade her with the nostalgic track.
