*Kendrick Lamar has reportedly purchased a multi-million-dollar penthouse in Brooklyn.Â
According to the New York Times, Lamar purchased the pad for $8.6 million. This condo is one of 106 units at Pierhouse, which was built in 2015 and spans two buildings.
Lamar’s three-level unit is 2,000 square feet, boasting four bedrooms and a private rooftop with views of Brooklyn Bridge Park and the East River. Matt Damon and Amy Schumer also reportedly own condos in the building.Â
Celebrity Net Worth reports that the listing for the spacious unit reads: “Every detail has been attended to in this superbly designed penthouse level home. Lamar’s condo can be seen in the YouTube video below, from when it was newly built in 2020.
Back in October, Lamar was a big winner at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.
This awards show paid homage to 50 years of Hip Hop with performances by T.I., Nelly, City Girls, Fabolous, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Tyrese, Chingy, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Holiday, D-Nice, Technician the DJ, and more at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA.
On Wednesday, Lamar served up an “extraordinary performance” in Kigali, Rwanda, BBC reports.
President Paul Kagame called the concert “a good way of ending the year, with music, with energy, with optimism.”
“So many people in the world love Kendrick Lamar, I am now in those who got chance to see him performing live,” concertgoer Julienne Kayitesi, 25, told the BBC, calling Lamar’s performance “historic.”
