*The kidnapping and murders last week of a group of Americans who traveled to Mexico has a lot of people asking ‘is travel to Mexico safe?’
Judging from U.S. State Department travel advisories, many areas of Mexico should be at the bottom of Americans’ travel itineraries.
I travel to Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Cancun frequently, and I’ve never had a problem. There was that time I went to Mexico for a shopping trip and ended up in a car with two strangers in Matamoros.
