*As part of her Halloween costume, Ice Spice dressed as the iconic cartoon character Betty Boop.
The rapper sported a black bob and a risqué red dress that exposed her bootyliciousness throughout her performance at Power 105.1’s on Oct. 28 in Newark, NJ. However, many hip-hop fans were not impressed.
“When the music is pure [trash can emoji] and the bars are beyond mediocre THIS is the last resort,” wrote one user on Instagram, per Vibe. Female hip-hop pioneer Nikki D added, “Oh come TF on!!! You mean to tell me, this is true talent.. the Female genre of hip hop today is the ‘prostitution era’, fight me!!,” she wrote.
One critic commented, “… just be a stripper at this point Smfh,” while another IG user wrote, “Are you selling your music or a** cause I’m confused.”
