*Garcelle Beauvais has responded to speculation that she is taking the anti-diabetes medication Ozempic to lose weight.
“Don’t even start with that Ozempic thing I’m not playing with that!!!” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hill star wrote on Twitter in response to a fan who asked if she was taking the drug, TooFab reports.
Beauvais’s comment was in response to a photo that Bravo shared of Garcelle and her fellow “RHOBH” cast member, Sutton Stracke, riding in a car during an LA Pride event on Twitter.
One user commented, “Gracelle has slimmed down quite a bit,” the person wrote, before asking, “Ozempic?? Or healthy eating?”

Beauvais was quick to clap back and shut down any speculation that she has joined the Hollywood trend of using Ozempic and Wegovy drugs for extreme weight loss. EUR’s Willy Mwanza Mwanza reported previously that these medications are primarily designed to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity in patients.
People who use Ozempic and Wegovy to lose weight take advantage of the drugs’ ability to impact satiety; that is, the drugs keep you feeling full, even after a small meal.
An avid user of Wegovy said she was able to lose a whopping 60 pounds after using the drug to lower her high blood pressure and high blood sugar. She was also overweight when she used the drugs. Wegovy helped her reduce her sugar cravings and gave her a boost of energy. But the story doesn’t end there.
When the user stopped using the drug, she gained back 20 pounds within months of quitting.
