*Rashard Mendenhall has had it up to here with “average white guys” who serve as analysts for the game of football.

Although he did not name anyone in particular, the New York Post reports the former Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals running back took to social media a few hours after weighing in on criticism directed at Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers team.

“I’m sick of average white guys commenting on football,” Mendenhall wrote in a post on X while suggesting a new replacement for the Pro Bowl. “Y’all not even good at football. Can we please replace the Pro Bowl with an All-Black vs. All-White Bowl so these cats can stop trying to teach me who’s good at football? I’m better than ur (sic) goat.”

Before criticizing his former team, the Steelers and NFL analysts, The Steelers, Mendenhall, made his mark as an athlete with stints as a running back in college for Illinois before turning pro.

Mendenhall’s tenure with the Steelers (2008 – 2012) included a Super Bowl victory against the Cardinals, followed by a final year in the pros with the Arizona Cardinals. The Steelers’ win at the Big Game marked Tomlin’s first Super Bowl championship.

The thought of an All-Black vs All White bowl game seems to be something J.J. Watt is latching on to. The former Houston Texans star jokingly made his feelings on the subject known with his vision of what the game would look like.

“We’d get cooked at corner, not gonna lie,” Watt wrote. “Nobody on our squad is covering Tyreek (Hill).”

Before voicing support for the All-Black vs All White game, Mendenhall commented on Tomlin’s work in the playoffs.

“I don’t understand how you can talk about Tomlin’s playoff record, without acknowledging that Kenny Pickett has only played one year,” Mendenhall stated. “Who was the QB for all those playoff loses?!! Literally all of them. Make up your mind. How do you arbitrarily separate Mike & Ben in de (sic) W/L column?”

Mendenhall’s comments come as the playoffs arrive in January, According to ESPN, “the San Francisco 49ers are sitting pretty to get the 1-seed in the NFC, while the Baltimore Ravens are the favorites to get a first-round bye in the AFC.
