Disney+ Host Fan Event For ‘Loki’ S2

Fans attending Loki Season 2 screening

Disney+ hosted a fan event for season two of “Loki!”

Like any Marvel event – fans were dressed in the best costumes and the red carpet was staged with props from the series – giving fans the feeling of being immersed in the new season.

Marvel President Kevin Feige introduced the premiere episode. Normally at an event like this, there would be a surprise guest… stars of the show but because of the ongoing strike actors are encouraged to avoid television promotions. To make up for not having any celebrity pop-ups, Feige decided to screen two episodes. Fans were extremely excited to get a sneak peek at more than one episode.

Loki Season 2 screening at El Capitan Theater

Season one ends with Sylvie Laufeydottir killing Kang The Conqueror. Before she kills him he warns her of the consequences…Kang has variants. Different versions of him, who will still carry out his mission. Now Loki and Morbius are faced with the task of stopping Kang’s other variants as well as finding Sylvie, who’s gone rogue. Unfortunately, they aren’t the only ones looking for Sylvie and must find her before the Time Variance Authority does. Things get very hectic as they try to save the world and each timeline that exists.

Not only does the show provide viewers with the suspenseful feeling of what’s happening next, but there’s also comic relief. Owen Wilson’s dry subtle wit gets a laugh from me every time and Tom Hiddleston is a great co-star, playing off Wilson. The two have great chemistry together. Their characters remind me of two co-workers who are opposites. But somehow become friends and understand one another. If there was a Loki and Morbius spin-off I would watch!

The fans at the screening seemed to be pleased with the first two episodes, clapping and cheering during some moments.

“Loki” season two streams on Disney+ on October 5th.
