Delta Flight Delayed for Hours After Passenger’s ‘Diarrhea’ Emergency | Video

*A Delta flight from Atlanta had to turn around Friday night after a passenger had diarrhea “all the way through” the plane.

The flight headed to Barcelona was about two hours out when it turned back because a passenger was having a “medical issue.” According to Business Insider, in an audio transmission from the flight deck, the pilot said, “This is a biohazard issue.”

“We’ve had a passenger who’s had diarrhea all the way through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta,” the pilot continued. The audio was posted on X (formally Twitter) by user @@thenewarea51 (see below).

It took about eight hours for the flight to take off again for Barcelona due to the delay.

“Delta flight 194 from Atlanta to Barcelona returned to Atlanta following an onboard medical issue,” a representative for the airline said in a statement.

“Our teams worked as quickly and safely as possible to thoroughly clean the airplane and get our customers to their final destination. We sincerely apologize to our customers for the delay and   to their travel plans.”
