*The loss of Takeoff, one-third of the hip-hop triumvirate Migos sent shockwaves throughout the Black community. Another tragedy is now unfolding since his passing, with his family members fighting over his assets because the late lyricist did not have a will drafted over his estate, reports Meaww. Takeoff’s net worth totaled $26 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.

According to Georgia law, Takeoff’s closest relative will inherit his estate, which will land upon his parents since he did not have any children. However, the “Bless ‘Em” artist’s parents have a contentious relationship, with Takeoff’s mother claiming that she alone raised him and his father was not in the picture. Relatives of Takeoff’s father, Kenneth Ball, countered such accusations by posting on social media how his father was involved in the young rapper’s life.

Ball posted grief stricken message on Facebook, “Kirsnick Khari Tiquon Ball, my first love out of my five kids, this is so so hard, please keep Titania Davenport (Treet) and me (Kenneth M Ball) and the entire family on both sides in your prayers doing our difficult time. No one know the pain I’m feeling right now BUT with GOD I will find peace.”

Takeoff’s alleged murderer, Patrick Xavier Clark, appeared before a judge requesting financial assistance to the tune of $5,000 to hire a private investigator to support his case, TMZ reports. Clark’s family is funding the attorney to represent him, who gave the family a discounted rate.

Clark is being held on a $2 million bond. If released, he will remain under home confinement, will be prohibited from owning any deadly weapons or firearms, and must not consume any narcotics without a prescription.

Takeoff was slain on November 1 in Houston, Texas, during a game of dice when shots rang out after a brawl.
