*Summer Walker is catching heat after posting an ad on her Instagram account seeking a “white or gay” assistant.
The singer reportedly called for applicants who are at least age 25 and “preferably white or gay.” Several fans accused her of being discriminatory toward Black people.
On Monday, Walker took to her Instagram Stories to respond to the hate and address complaints about paying her new assistant a $2K monthly salary.
“If you don’t know what you’re talking about, then why are you talking about it?” she stated, as reported by Hip Hop DX. “I really would like to know that. ‘Oh, $2K ain’t enough, $2K ain’t enough.’ How do you know if it’s not enough? I could have told somebody to come over here once a week and smell my asshole and leave. How do you know it’s not enough? Do you know the job description? Do you know the hours?

“I am on maternity leave, I’m not working. We have no shows, we have no club appearances, we have nowhere to go and nothing to do. I told somebody to come over here once a week to come take my f*cking trash out, sh*t like that. Put some gas in my car, sh*t I don’t feel like doing. But that is not y’all business, I don’t have to explain that to you,” the R&B superstar said.
Walker went on to explain why she wants a white or gay male as her new assistant.
“And then to be talking about, ‘Why a white man and why a gay man?’” she said. “I’ve always hired Black people. Everybody that works for me is Black. If I wanna hire a white person, y’all sound like y’all discriminating, what’s the problem?
“I want a gay man ’cause I don’t want nobody hitting on me and I wanted a white person, because honestly, you n-ggas, y’all know how n-ggas act. I’m honestly really tired, I’m really tired, but that’s a different fucking story.”
Summer said she “ended up hiring a Black man and paying more than $2K,” and went on to slam critics for “harassing me about nothing that you know nothing about.”
Walker further unpacked the salary for her new assistant, saying: “I just blessed somebody, just got f*cking $2,500-a-month to do f*cking nothing, once a week. F*cking take out my trash, f*cking bring in my groceries.”
Walker stressed that she is “doing mom things” so she needs an assistant to pick up the slack and handle the things that she doesn’t “feel like doing,” she said.
Walker added: “The fuck, y’all really make my asshole itch. I don’t know how Beyoncé does it — she don’t say shit.”
