*A Louisville family has been left heartbroken after four loved ones were found killed at a home near Valley Station on Saturday.

According to Louisville Metro Police, Gary Stanton, 60, took his own life after allegedly fatally shooting his wife Mary Stanton, 49, and his daughters, Adrianna Stanton, 17, and Brianna Stanton, 11. Gary died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the coroner’s office, WDRB reports.

“We feel pretty confident that the incident is going to be a murder-suicide situation where the adult male was the primary aggressor who shot the three females,” LMPD Maj. Micah Scheu said on Saturday.

Family members are speaking out about the senseless crime, with Emily Muchemi, sister of Mary, saying in a statement that nothing within the Stanton family dynamic “seemed off.

“We talked and joked every day,” said Emily of Mary who recently started working as a registered nurse at an adult daycare center in Louisville.

“Family was important to her and she worked hard to lift everyone up in the family,” Muchemi said.

“She was a smart and responsible young lady with a bright future ahead of her,” Muchemi said of her niece Adrianna.

“Brianna was full of life,” Muchemi added. “She got along well with everyone.”

Muchemi and Mary, who hail from Kenya, recently traveled to the country to bury their father.

“Our hearts are not even healed from dad’s sudden death and now this,” Emily said.

Police have not revealed the motive behind the murder-suicide.
