*We caught up with Amber Riley the morning after Wednesday’s “The Masked Singer” finale revealed the actress/singer as the HARP and winner of the Golden Mask trophy.
Riley wowed judges Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke with her rendition of Lady Gaga‘s “The Edge of Glory” and “Gravity” by John Mayer. Thick said Riley’s performance of “Gravity” was “one of the best things we’ve ever heard on this stage.”
“We chose the songs that we felt told the best story for the Harp and what it was that we were trying to convey in the season,” Riley told PEOPLE in a post-show interview. “They let me be myself and put my own little vocal flare on things.”

When EUR’s Ny MaGee caught up with Riley, she gushed about her “amazing” win, the challenges of keeping her participation on the show a secret, and which celebrity reveal she was most surprised to see.
Riley also shared details about participating in the new 3-part docuseries “The Black Beauty Effect,” which premiered on Comcast Black Experience on Xfinity on November 25.
Per the official synopsis: The Black Beauty Effect captures the current evolution, revolution, and disruption taking place within the beauty industry. Each hour-long episode examines a different aspect of beauty – hair, skin, and makeup – through the lens of some of the beauty industry’s most iconic game-changers.
