The hosts discuss rapper Drake’s lyric calling his son Adonis’s mother a “fluke.” Loni worries about how Adonis will feel when he’s old enough to understand what it means, co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley worries that kids can be mean at school, and co-host Amanda Seales points out that there’s no privacy for anyone anymore, especially if you’re an artist.

Co-host Jeannie Mai doesn’t want to hear your “fauxpology” apology! If you’re not sorry, don’t say you are!

And Sherry Cola and Cierra Ramirez are here to talk about their show Good Trouble! Sherry shares a story about going to the “Salt Bae’s” restaurant in Miami and meeting the man himself! And Cierra speaks about how inspired she has been by her character’s coding career, and how many amazing women in code she has met.

Loni: The True Power You Have Is How You Respond To Someone Else

Loni Love: I think people can say whatever they want to say but what I am more conscious of is how I respond.

Jeannie Mai: Oh, for sure.

Loni: A lot of people say things about me, they’ve said stuff about these women on the table – great girls – but it’s how we respond that’s really important. You know, people could call me – one thing I’ve always said [To Amanda], and remember when you first got on here, you said, “Loni, they gonna say we fighting and this and that and this and that…”

Amanda Seales: They still do.

Loni: And they always gonna say that. But also, if you notice that whenever we talk about certain people, they may talk about us – I been called a lot of names by a lot of black women – for this show – for doing my job. I will never ever disrespect another black woman by calling her out of her name, I will never do that. And it’s the power of how you respond, that’s the true power that you have as a person.

Tamera Mowry-Housley: Because that’s what you can control.

Loni: And that’s what you can control –

Loni: …and you come out so much stronger…

Tamera: You show your character.

Loni: …when you respond positively. It’s like, Girl, you call me a bitch all day long, but you know what? I love you, and it’s all right. You know what I’m saying? And that’s power.
