*Dr. Elvis Francois, the Mayo Clinic surgeon in Rochester, Minnesota who went viral during the coronavirus pandemic singing such hopeful anthems as “Imagine,” joined the “Today” show on Thursday virtually.
He says “it’s beautiful” to see people coming together in a time of trial, and sang a rousing rendition of “Lean on Me,” giving people a sample of the beautiful voice he’s been sharing to lift spirits during a difficult time across the country.
Francois, who is finishing his five-year residency as an orthopedic surgeon, has been sharing videos of his songs on Facebook for the past two years.
