OWNs ‘Love Goals’ Helps Others Talk About Race (Watch)

Last week, EUR attended a virtual Q&A with Dee Dee “Spinderella” Roper, Quenton “Q” Coleman, Dwayne “Money Bo” and Theresa Bowe for the season finale of OWN‘s “Love Goals.“

Series’ host, Spirit, a licensed therapist aims to help couples sustain and maximize healthy, intimate relationships lead the conversation.

EUR: Now that the show is over are the couples continuing their therapy?

Quenton “Q” Coleman: We want to. We have time to get premarital counseling.

Theresa Bowe: We are. Spirit is available right through this camera! Y’all better get this Zoom session going after quarantine. I didn’t want to leave the house and [have the experience be] for just the show. We adopted Spirit into our routine because I ultimately want to end up with my husband for the rest of my life. Now I know [what might happen] when you let a problem keep festering and festering…When she showed us the analogy I started feeling like, ‘WOW if we don’t continue to work on us and get to the root of the problem and fix it…’ that’s not where I want to be and that’s not where he wants to be. So we have to continue on [with therapy]. So Spirit or anyone else seeing this we can do a Zoom.

Spirit: As a therapist, we are here. I tell everyone don’t wait until after the pandemic to get your work in. We’re doing individual, family and couples counseling. Therapists are working all over the world through the pandemic.

The unscripted relationship series also features Benzino, Althea Heart, Sundy Carter, Breyon Williams, Coolio and Mimi Ivey as they live under one drama-filled roof.
