*Naomi Campbell made headlines earlier this year after wearing a full hazmat suit while traveling during the COVID-19 crisis.
“Safety First NEXT LEVEL,” she wrote on Instagram back in March.
Now the supermodel has revealed to the Wall Street Journal that she buys her protective gear in bulk via a subscription on Amazon.
“I bought [the hazmat suits] in bulk and I bought them on subscription, so they keep coming,” Campbell told the magazine. “There was one point when my subscription hadn’t come because they’d run out, and I panicked, even though I wasn’t going anywhere.”

When a museum approached Naomi Campbell about the hazmat suit she famously wore in March, “I was like, Really? Why would they want that? But that’s what they want.” She buys her suits in bulk, she said, and “on subscription, so they keep coming.” https://t.co/7QxJU3wf7P

“It was funny because when I first wore one people were like, ‘She should give that to the hospital. Why’s she stealing?’ They were acting like I was stealing supplies from the hospital,” the model said. “So I started answering back, saying, ‘I got it on Amazon! I got it on Amazon!’ I bought it fair and square on the internet.”
According to Page Six, Campbell’s hazmat suit is being added to the Fashion Museum Bath in England.
We previously reported…the supermodel previously explained the reason behind her hazmat suit, mask, goggles and gloves in a six-minute video from her popular YouTube series “Being Naomi.” In the clip the 50-year-old fashion icon addresses her extensive airplane seat-cleaning routine.
“I was doing the seat cleaning for 15 or 17 years, it’s not new for me,” Naomi saidp. She then showed off her outfit: a $16 coverall suit from Amazon underneath a Burberry cape.
“It’s not a funny time, it’s not a humorous time, I’m not doing this for laughs,” she insists. “This is how I feel comfortable traveling if I have to travel; I’m trying to keep it to a minimum.”
Campbell added, “Can you imagine the people risking their lives every day touching thousands of passports? We have to feel for people like doctors, postmen, delivery people, people who work in the airports and public transport — we need to feel for these people because this is their job and they’re putting themselves at a high-risk [to do it].”
