Loni May Trust James … But She Made Him Sign an NDA! – WATCH

*Today, the ladies of “The Real” discuss the need for prenups and non-disclosure agreements (NDA) in certain relationships, especially for those who are up-and-coming in their careers.

Co-host Loni Love reveals why she made boyfriend James sign an NDA and co-host Adrienne Houghton wonders if all the hosts should have signed one, too, knowing that Loni has a memoir being released soon.

Loni Love & the real crew (03-09-20)

Loni Love: In certain relationships, and you know if you coming up, that you need to make them sign an NDA. Because…

Amanda Seales: What does NDA stand for?

Loni: Non-disclosure agreement.

Jeannie Mai: Non-disclosure agreement.

Loni: I don’t care whether you on television or not. If you know you’re coming up in the world and things are happening- ‘cause you notice how all of a sudden- like, Jessica Simpson and all of them are writing these books?  And they’re telling their side of the story and everything?

Jeannie: Everything.

Loni: Possibly, if they had an NDA, they couldn’t do that. ‘Cause that could ruin your brand. Somebody making false- I’m not saying what she’s saying is false…

Adrienne Houghton: But, just in general.

Amanda: But, your perspective is different.

Loni: In general- You know what I’m sayin’? It could really hurt your brand. It could hurt, you know, you as a person.

Adrienne: That’s a great point!

Loni: You might consider that.

Adrienne: So, if you’re doing prenups or agreements contractually before moving in together, maybe before going into a serious relationship, you should consider an NDA.

Loni: Yeah. I mean, I’m just sayin’. I have one, you know. I made James sign one.

Jeannie: It’s not gonna stand…

Tamera: You did? Whoooa… You made James sign one?

Loni: Yeah. Because the NDA isn’t for him. It’s because of the people around him.

Tamera: Ah!

Adrienne: Question. Question. You wrote a book. Should we have signed an NDA?

Tamera: (Laughs)

Loni: Yeah, you should have.

(The Real audience laughs)

Adrienne: That’s why she’s saying it! That’s why- she just put us- a warning out there… But the warning for us is a little too late.

Amanda: Not for me.

Loni: But, I did not say anything ba- (To Amanda) No, you’re not in the book, yet. ‘Cause that’s another chapter.

Amanda: Yet.

Adrienne: Yet.

Loni: But, I did not say anything, um… defamatory… about you. You know what I mean? I wouldn’t that. See, that’s what I’m saying. It depends on the person, too.

Tamera: Yeah.

Loni: You get with a person- I know James isn’t gonna, you know uh, “She’s a freak.” Uh, yes I am.
