Jonathan McReynolds Talks New Album (People) and Giving Back During the Quarantine – WATCH

*They say music heals the soul and right now most people need a little healing and uplifting.

Gospel singer and judge on BETs “Sunday’s Best” Jonathan McReynolds is trying to do just that with the release of his new EP entitled People.

His current single of the same name is a song to help people deal with the relationships in their life. At a time when most are not able to escape from others or even themselves the lyrics of this song will help those get through this time.

“It’s just really cool God was already planning on equipping people with a soundtrack for this quarantine,” says McReynolds.

He notes that he’s not only referring to his single but he feels that every song on the EP will be able to inspire people in some way and help them to focus on something other than their current circumstances.

This EP is also a visual project that he will be premiering this Friday (04-24-20) at Midnight Est (9pm Pacific) LIVE on YouTube. McReynolds will also perform during this live event and fans will be able to interact with him through YouTube’s live chat. “Take a half-hour out of your day and watch this and really consume the music,” says McReynolds. 

Not only is he helping people through his music, but he is also giving back through his nonprofit Elihu Nation. McReynolds and the non-profit gave away $300 every day for one week. He asked fans to answer trivia questions in relation to the quarantine and faith. 

“I think it was really important to me, that while we’re at home doing less than normal, to make sure we fill up that time,” says McReynolds.
