*Nominations for the 92nd Oscars were announced this morning with the “Joker” bagging 11 nods, including Lead Actor for Joaquin Phoenix, Achievement in Cinematography, Costume Design, Film Editing, Best Picture and Directing.

“Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood,” “The Irishman” and “1917” tied in second place with 10 nominations each, The Wrap reports.

“Once Upon a Time” received nods for actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt as well as Best Picture, while Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” received Supporting Actor nominations for Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, as well as Directing, Best Picture and Cinematography. “1917” was also nominated for Best Picture, as well as Directing and Cinematography.

There’s currently outcry on Twitter because the contenders do not include Lupita Nyong’o, Eddie Murphy Jennifer Lopez (for some odd reason, folks think her “Hustlers” performance is Oscar-worthy), and Awkwafina was also not recognized for her work in “The Farewell.”

On the other hand, there’s good news for Cynthia Erivo. The actress and singer, who played abolitionist Harriet Tubman in the Kasi Lemmons-directed drama “Harriet,” was nominated for Best Actress and Best Original Song for co-writing and performing the film’s closing track, “Stand Up.”

In the lead actress category, Erivo will compete with Scarlett Johansson (Marriage Story); Saoirse Ronan (Little Women); Charlize Theron (Bombshell); and Renée Zellweger (Judy).

In another nod to black folk, Matthew Cherry and Karen Rupert Toliver’s “Hair Love” got a nom for animated short film and Barack and Michelle Obama’s “America’s Factory” gets a nomination for best documentary.

And, oh yeah, there are ZERO women in the Best Director category.

“We’re doing great, we’re killing it, nominate us,” said “Insecure” star Issa Rae as she and John Cho listed off the 2020 nominees.

Final Academy voting runs from January 30 – February 4, and the winners will be announced February 9 at the Academy Awards live on ABC from the Dolby Theater at Hollywood & Highland in Hollywood.
